Start a new family tradition, become a member of USMFCU! Immediate family members of those employee groups listed above are welcomed as members of the credit union. Immediate family members are: mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters, grandparents and step-parents and step-children.
If your company isn’t currently offering the benefit of a credit union, please contact our office to inquire on membership with USMFCU at 601-450-4114.
Your membership begins with a share account, the basic savings account. Your initial deposit and maintained balance of $25 is your lifetime membership with USMFCU. Your share deposit is your ownership in the credit union. Your membership gives you the voting right to elect the credit union's volunteer directors from the credit union membership at the annual shareholders' meeting.
The credit union is regulated by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA). NCUA is a federal agency that insures the members’ deposits for up to $250,000 and performs annual examinations of the credit union to ensure safety and soundness of operations. The USMFCU supervisory committee contracts outside audit services to perform semi-annual internal control audits and annual financial audits.
